Concord High School Area 11 Regional Vocational Education Center is designed to serve high school students interested in vocational technical training and career implementation upon graduation. Students are enrolled from seven (7) participating high schools. Adult education is also available to anyone 16 years or older seeking to obtain a high school diploma.
New Hampshire Technical Institute, is a growing community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in business, technology, health care, human services, and many other academic areas including liberal arts. NHTI is part of the New Hampshire Community Technical College (NHCTC) System and offers students a vibrant atmosphere on its attractive and growing campus near the Merrimack River. NHTI's Center for Training and Business Development offers customized on-site or on-campus employee training programs to businesses. As part of the statewide NHCTC System, NHTI's tuition rates are the lowest in the state for post-secondary education.
University of New Hampshire offers numerous Baccalaureate and Masters Degree
programs. Several, such as the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, have won
national recognition. Business and industry seminars are available in Concord each
semester on topics such as supervisory management or computer services.
UNH Cooperative
Extension provides research-based education and information to help
citizens make informed decisions that strengthen youth, families, and
communities; sustain natural resources; and improve the economy. The
longstanding partnership among county, state, and federal government brings
Merrimack County residents many innovative programs on the broad areas of
natural resources, youth development, families and community. Extension
Educators deliver these programs through hands-on workshops, site visits,
seminars, conferences, phone consultations and printed materials.
