There are ten Ward Councilors, four At-large Councilors and the City's Mayor who presides over all City Council meetings. Ward Councilors are elected every two (odd-numbered) years. At-large Council members serve staggered four-year terms, two members being elected at each municipal election. The Mayor serves a two-year term and was reelected at the last municipal election held on November 3, 2009.
