Curbside Service - General Services Department - City of Concord NH
Curbside Refuse Service
The curbside service is a refuse
collection service for residential premises within the
City of Concord. Household trash is picked up once each week by the
contractor on a scheduled day. The schedule usually runs from Monday through Friday.
Trash must be placed at curbside by 7:00 AM on the day of pick-up
in a purple pay as you throw bag. There is no
regular collection on weekends or on the six holidays;
New
Year's Day, Memorial
Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When a regular collection
day is missed because of a holiday, the collection for the remainder of the week
is delayed by one day (Monday-Saturday). For example, a Monday
holiday will affect the week's schedules as follows: Monday's route will
be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday's route will be picked up on Wednesday.
Wednesday's route will be picked up on Thursday. Thursday's route will be picked
up on Friday. Friday's route will be picked up on Saturday.
Whenever such adjustments in the
schedule occur, notices will be placed in the Concord Monitor. The contractor for the curbside
pick-up is Bestway Disposal (224-5454).
