Parking Meter Debit Card (Parking Enforcement) - Police Department - City of Concord NH

Parking Meter Debit Card

The Concord Card

The City of Concord is now offering pre-paid parking meter debit cards that are available for purchase at the Concord Police Department located at 35 Green Street or the Collections Office in City Hall at 41 Green Street.  At this time the parking meter debit cards can only be used in the meters located in the Firehouse Garage and the Durgin Garage.  View the map to locate these structures.

The cards are available in denominations of $20 at the reception desk at the Police Department or the Collections Office from 9 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.  All cards are rechargable.)

Parking Meter Debit CardHow does the Concord Card work?

  1. Insert the card into the front of the meter following the direction of the arrow

  2. The meter will show you the remaining balance on your card

  3. While the card is inserted, the meter will automatically begin deducting value from your card in decrements of $.50 (one hour of parking)

  4. When the card had credited your meter with the desired amount of time or the maximum time limit (10 hours), quickly remove your card

How do I get a refund if I put too much time on the meter with the Concord Card?

  1. Insert your card into the meter following the direction of the arrow (two minutes must pass since you added time)

  2. The meter will show “ref” and will begin to refund the remaining time

  3. The meter will show your card balance

  4. Quickly remove your card

The refund option will only work in conjunction with the last transaction.  If you have added coins for additional time the meter will be unable to refund your transaction.

How do I add additional credit to my Concord Card?

  • If you need to add additional credit to your Concord Card you can contact the Parking Control Unit at 225-8640 and arrange a time to have this process completed (no service charge to recharge an existing card).  Recharges may be in any amount up to $100.
The Concord Card is like money and should be treated as such.  The Concord Card does not guarantee you a parking space, nor does it allow you to park longer than the maximum time allowed at a meter.  The Concord Card is very durable and can withstand considerable heat, cold, and moisture.  The card is unaffected by magnetic or x-ray exposure.  Since normal usage should not affect your Concord Card, no refund will be issued if it becomes damaged and unusable.  We will also not issue refunds for unused balances, as they do not expire.
